Maggie’s Bookshelf is a personal blog designed to share my honest opinions on what I read. A large portion of the books that I review (published books) have been purchased in bookstores and in no way is my receipt of these books affiliated with or paid for by the author.
Many of the books that I review, however, are received through the Reader Views Kids program, primarily Free Reviews for which I receive no monetary stipend; solely the book (published book, ARC or manuscript) to review. I also occasionally receive an Express Review commission, for which I am paid a small monetary stipend as well as sent the book in question (published book, ARC or manuscript). Express Reviews in no way guarantee a five-star or rave review. When I have received a monetary stipend through Reader Views Kids, it is clearly marked on the review. (See Reader Views disclosure)
I also receive on occasion books for review (published book, ARC or manuscript) directly from the author, the expenses of which have been paid for by the author. In no way does this guarantee a five-star or rave review. It is my goal to maintain my integrity in reviewing to ensure that visitors to my blog are in no way deceived by direct product endorsements, advertisements under the guise of reviews or other such breaches of trust. I am not directly paid to endorse or advertise products on this blog. When I have received books from the author or have a personal relationship with an author, it will be clearly marked on the review.
Finally, links to Amazon.com embedded in the titles of the books for review, as well as the widgets and banners in the sidebar and at the bases of my posts, are provided for potential readers’ convenience should they wish to purchase the book after reading my review. I receive a small commission (4.00 to 6.00%) should a visitor follow the links and order the product in question. The proceeds from my participation in the Amazon Associates program are used for blog expenses. In no way other than providing these link referrals am I associated with Amazon.com, and in no way does it impact the honesty of my reviews. Other links provided on this blog, to author's homepages, Twitter profiles, publisher homepages, etc. are provided for the potential reader's convenience should they wish to find more information about the product or the author. I am in no way paid or given special privileges because of these links.
